Jonathan Majors has a new film on the way later this year — the critically acclaimed drama Magazine Dreams.
The actor plays aspiring bodybuilder Killian Maddox, who has big dreams of superstardom. Nothing deters him from his quest for greatness, not even the doctors who warn he’s causing permanent damage to his body.
The cast also includes Haley Bennett, Taylour Paige, Harrison Page, Mike O’Hearn, and Harriet Sansom Harris.

The drama premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, and won the U.S. Special Dramatic Jury Award. It also received strong reviews from critics, touching off a bidding war before it was acquired by Searchlight Pictures.
The film is written and directed by Elijah Bynum, known for Hot Summer Nights.
In an interview with IndieWire at Sundance, Majors said the film was based partly on Bynum’s inspiration from a real-life bodybuilder who went to his gym.
Majors also serves as an executive producer alongside Andrew Blau, and Luke Rogers, according to IMDb. Jennifer Fox, Dan Gilroy, Jeffrey Soros and Simon Horsman produced the film.
The drama is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Dec. 8.
Searchlight announced the release date on March 24, one day before Majors was arrested in New York City for allegedly assaulting a 30-year-old woman.
The 33-year-old actor has been charged with assault in the third degree, three counts of attempted assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree.
Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, issued a statement on Sunday, saying the evidence will prove the actor is “entirely innocent.”
“This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations,” Chaudhry said.
