The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has detailed the charges against Jonathan Majors following the actor’s weekend arrest for allegedly assaulting a woman during a “domestic dispute.”
Majors was arraigned Sunday and charged with assault in the third degree, three counts of attempted assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree, the D.A.’s office told The Guardian. The charges are all misdemeanors.
The Creed III and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star was released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 8.
Majors, 33, was taken into custody Saturday in New York City following a dispute with a 30-year-old woman, the NYPD confirmed to Urban Hollywood 411.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman said she was struck “about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear.” The complaint also alleged the actor “put his hand on her neck, causing bruising and substantial pain,” and grabbed her hand “causing swelling, bruising, and substantial pain to her finger.”
Majors’ criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry issued a statement on Sunday saying the evidence will prove the actor is “entirely innocent,” and the woman had recanted the allegations.
“This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations,” Chaudhry said. “All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever.”
The attorney also alleged the woman was having a mental health crisis at the time of the incident.
“Unfortunately, this incident came about because this woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday,” Chaudhry added. “The NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon.”
A spokesperson for Majors issued an earlier statement denying any wrongdoing by the actor.
“He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up,” the rep said.
In response to his arrest, the Army pulled two newly launched “Be All You Can Be” recruitment videos featuring the actor.
“The U.S. Army is aware of the arrest of Jonathan Majors and we are deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest,” Army Enterprise Marketing Office public affairs chief Laura DeFrancisco told Variety. “We recently released two ads in which Mr. Majors appears. While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete.”
Majors is set to star as Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror in the upcoming film Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
He’s also preparing to play former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman in the film 48 Hours in Vegas, and was recently cast in Da Understudy, a Spike Lee movie about “life imitating art when the understudy of a Broadway production finds a role he’s willing to kill for.”

The mess sound like a “couples squabble” due to some insecurity. Next time I hope choices about relationships, are extremely selective.
