Jonathan Majors was arrested Saturday in New York City for the alleged assault of a 30-year-old woman, police confirmed.

Majors, 33, was charged with strangulation, assault, and harassment.

“At approximately 1114 hours, police responded to a 911 call inside of an apartment located in the vicinity of West 22nd Street and 8th Avenue,” the New York Police Department said in a statement to Urban Hollywood 411.

“A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old female. The victim informed police she was assaulted,” the statement continued.

Majors was taken into custody “without incident,” police said. The woman sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was transported to an area hospital. She is listed in stable condition.

Carrie Gordon, a spokesperson for Majors, issued a statement to Urban Hollywood 411 denying any wrongdoing by the actor.

“He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up,” Gordon stated.

Majors was released after being processed, The Associated Press reported Saturday night.

The actor is currently one of the most sought after performers in Hollywood.

He currently co-stars in the hit films Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Earlier this month Majors confirmed he is preparing for a role as former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman in the upcoming film 48 Hours in Vegas, as previously reported.

In recent weeks, it was also announced that he will star in Da Understudy, an upcoming film Spike Lee is in talks to direct about “life imitating art when the understudy of a Broadway production finds a role he’s willing to kill for.”

Majors has previously had roles in The Harder They Fall; Da 5 Bloods; The Last Black Man in San Francisco; and the television series Lovecraft Country.
