Tisha Campbell is returning to network TV with a guest role on NBC’s Lopez vs Lopez.
The multi-camera comedy stars George Lopez and his real-life daughter Mayan Lopez, with the comedian playing a fictionalized version of himself.
Campbell has been booked to play Dr. Glenda Brenda, Mayan’s psychologist and confidante, on the season 2 finale of the series, TheWrap reported Tuesday, April 9.
Dr. Glenda has a “level-headed demeanor,” but uses out-of-the-box tactics. She’s called upon after George (George Lopez) and Rosie (Selenis Leyva) give their daughter Mayan troubling news.

According to the official description for the episode: “Secrets rain down on the Lopez clan like candy from an exploding piñata when Mayan invites her therapist, Dr. Glenda Brenda, to mediate some family drama at Rosie’s engagement party.”
Campbell is best known to fans for playing Gina Waters-Payne on Martin; Janet “Jay” Kyle on My Wife and Kids; Keisha on Bounce TV’s Act Your Age; and her roles in numerous films.
She was part of a fan-favorite Martin reunion on the Primetime Emmy Awards in January 2024, that saw her trading insults and joking like old times with former co-stars Martin Lawrence, Tichina Arnold, and Carl Anthony Payne II.
Campbell joins Lopez vs Lopez season 2 guest stars — comedian Gabriel Iglesias, actress Diana Maria Riva, and NFL running back-turned-actor Marshawn Lynch, as previously reported.
In addition to George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, and Selenis Leyva, the show’s cast includes Matt Shively, Brice Gonzalez, and Al Madrigal.
Lopez vs Lopez airs Tuesdays at 8:00 PM ET/PT on NBC. The episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
