Lopez vs Lopez is set to return for a second season on April 2.
Joining the NBC comedy series as guest stars this season are comedian Gabriel Iglesias, actress Diana Maria Riva, and NFL running back-turned-actor Marshawn Lynch.
The multi-camera sitcom stars George Lopez and his real-life daughter Mayan Lopez, with the comedian playing a fictionalized version of himself. The cast also includes Selenis Leyva, Matt Shively, Brice Gonzalez, and Al Madrigal.

Gabriel Iglesias will play Iggy, George’s fun-loving, oversharing AA sponsor. When George and Mayan struggle with George’s sobriety, Iggy is there to offer advice and hugs, per NBC.
Diana Maria Riva plays Olga, a tough negotiator known for selling the best knock-off TVs at the local swap meet. She isn’t afraid to tell anyone adios, especially her long standing rival, George Lopez.
Marshawn Lynch plays Marshawn, a brutally honest sideline reporter. George and his crew get caught in the crosshairs of Marshawn’s comments when they attend a Raiders game.
Lopez vs Lopez is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Mohawk Productions, Travieso Productions, Mi Vida Loba and 3 Arts.
Executive producers include Bruce Helford, George Lopez, Michael Rotenberg, Katie Newman, and series creator Debby Wolfe.
The first season premiered in November 2022, and averaged 4.7 million viewers across all platforms.
NBC renewed the show for a second season in May, but it was delayed by the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
We caught up with George Lopez in September outside Warner Bros. Studios during the strikes, as he hosted a George Lopez show reunion on the picket line.
The comedian urged the studios to listen to union members’ concerns.
“In any kingdom, every part is important, whether you get coffee, whether you send emails, everybody is important overall,” he said.
Lopez then took a swipe at Warner Bros., which marked its 100th anniversary in 2023.
“Celebrating 100 years of movies, not without these people that are out here. That’s what they need to remember on the other side, money is money, but the people that matter the most aren’t the ones that drive their luxury cars into that gate,” he added.
Now that he’s back at work, Lopez vs Lopez returns on Tuesday, April 2, with back-to-back episodes at 8 and 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. The episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
