There’s good news for fans of The Neighborhood.

The CBS comedy has been renewed for a seventh season and will return for the 2024-2025 broadcast season, the network announced Tuesday.

Along with that news, CBS said it’s moving forward with a 22nd season of NCIS.

The Neighborhood and NCIS are the very best definition of a CBS comedy and drama,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a press release. “They embody authentic storytelling with heart, humor and family dynamics. We are proud to bring them back next season.”

NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is the flagship series in the franchise and focuses on a team forced to work together in high-stress situations. The other shows in the franchise are NCIS: Hawaii and NCIS: Sydney, after NCIS: Los Angeles ended last year.

Now in its 21st season, NCIS is currently averaging 12.9 million multiplatform viewers (linear and streaming) after 35 days, per Nielsen figures released by CBS. That’s a 12 percent increase from last year.

The series is the No. 2 entertainment program this season, trailing only Tracker on CBS.

The cast includes Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, with Rocky Carroll and Gary Cole. CBS Studios produces the drama in association with Belisarius Productions.

NCIS airs Mondays at 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT on CBS.

The Neighborhood stars Cedric the Entertainer as a friendly guy from the Midwest who moves his family to a neighborhood in Los Angeles where not everyone looks like him or wants to know their neighbors.

The comedy is averaging 7.9 million viewers this season after 35 days of multiplatform viewing (linear and streaming).

Produced by CBS Studios, the comedy also stars Max Greenfield, Beth Behrs, Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, and Hank Greenspan.

The Neighborhood airs Mondays at 8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT on CBS.

Both shows are available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.

The network also just announced a three-season renewal for FBI (seasons 7, 8 and 9), plus one season renewals for sister shows FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted.
