Sean “Diddy” Combs’ prison release date has shifted once again. This time, it’s been moved up by more than three weeks.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, Combs, 56, is now scheduled to be released on Feb. 6, 2028, instead of March 2, 2028. TMZ was the first outlet to report the new change.
The adjustment comes just weeks after Combs was transferred from Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania.
Although officials have not disclosed the reason for the transfer, it followed reports about Combs’ alleged treatment behind bars. In September, NBC News reported that the Bad Boy Records founder was receiving special treatment at Fort Dix, with fellow inmates allegedly cooking for him, cleaning his living space, doing his laundry and giving him massages.
According to the report, Combs also had access to Hennessy, contraband cellphones and explicit photos sent by a former girlfriend. NBC published photos and video that appeared to show Combs holding a cellphone.
As previously reported, reports also surfaced about a head injury that sent Combs to the hospital in October, just days after news broke that his release date had been pushed back from Jan. 21, 2028 to March 2, 2028.
The music mogul is serving a 50-month sentence after he was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
His attorneys filed an appeal of the sentence. A federal appeals court heard oral arguments in April but has not yet issued a decision.
Before all the changes, Combs’ initial release date was for June 4, 2028. It has moved several times, with officials citing his good behavior.
