U.S. Senate hopeful Herschel Walker suffered a crushing defeat in Tuesday’s Georgia runoff election. But that doesn’t mean the NFL star-turned-Republican politician will fade away quietly, at least according to Saturday Night Live comic Michael Che.
Che took several swipes at Walker on Saturday during SNL‘s “Weekend Update.”
“Raphael Warnock defeated Herschel Walker in Georgia’s Senate runoff race,” the comedian said to applause. “But I don’t think this is the last you’ll hear from Herschel Walker, I mean unless he’s your biological father.”
Che was apparently referring to allegations that the anti-abortion candidate pressured and paid for two ex-girlfriends to terminate their pregnancies. Walker denied the allegations from both women. Although his son, Christian Walker, accused the former Pro Bowl running back of lying and said the NFL great abandoned his family years earlier to “bang a bunch of women.”

Che noted that Warnock’s win means Democrats will no longer have to rely on Vice President Kamala Harris’ tie-breaking vote in the Senate. In his words, Harris can now focus on her “main priority” — taking President Joe Biden’s job.
The comedian wasn’t quite done with Walker or the abortion jokes.
“Donald Trump said the results of the 2020 election should be overturned and called for the termination of the Constitution,” Che said a few minutes later. “Trump plans to terminate the constitution by asking Herschel Walker to drive it to the clinic.”
