Nelly and Ashanti will give fans a front-row seat into their rekindled romance, marriage and life as parents.

In a press release on Friday, Peacock announced its new slate of unscripted shows, including Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together.

The eight-episode docuseries will follow the couple as they “reignite their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life, and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers,” according to the official description.

The two stars first dated in 2003. They partnered on Nelly’s 2008 single “Body On Me,” but ultimately broke up in 2013.

The pair reconnected during a 2021 Verzuz battle between Ja Rule and Fat Joe. By September 2023, they confirmed they were back together after a decade apart.

Just a few months later, they secretly wed on Dec. 27, 2023, in St. Louis County, Missouri, according to court documents obtained by People. The marriage wasn’t confirmed publicly until June 2024.

Ashanti, 44, announced in April 2024 that she was expecting her first child. Their son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, was born on July 18, 2024. Nelly has two children from previous relationships. He also raised his late sister’s children.

In a recent interview on The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Nelly, 50, opened up about the timeline of their rekindled romance.

“Once we found out that she was pregnant… We didn’t talk about any of that,” he said. “I was like, ‘Yo, let’s just knock this out because we’re going to be doing so much and everything’s moving so fast.’ I didn’t want her to be a baby mama because we already knew where we were in life. If we’re back like this, this must be what it’s supposed to be.”

During a separate interview with E! News, “Rain on Me” singer-songwriter Ashanti said they want another child.

“We’re going to add some more,” she shared. “Definitely a girl to balance it out. I’m outnumbered in the house right now. So, a girl would be great.”

The two Grammy winners will share more of their lives in their new series. While this marks Ashanti’s reality TV debut, Nelly previously starred in Nellyville on BET in 2014.

Their new show is produced by Critical Content with Nelly and Ashanti serving as executive producers alongside Jenny Daly, Oji Singletary, Lauren Lazin, and J Erving.

Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together is expected to premiere in June 2025.
