Kandi Burruss has no regrets about her decision to exit The Real Housewives of Atlanta after 14 seasons.
“I think I made the right decision. I’m excited for the show and what they have next, but I’m excited for myself too,” Kandi told Access Hollywood Sunday on the red carpet in Los Angeles at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.
She added, “I’ve got a lot of great things that’s happening in the pipeline and [the cast] is always going to be my family, so it’s all good.”
The singer, actress, and entrepreneur was nominated at the awards for favorite reality star — although the trophy went to The Kardashian‘s star Khloé Kardashian.

As for RHOA, Kandi shared her thoughts on Bravo’s surprise announcement last week that Porsha Williams Guobadia is returning for season 16.
“I already knew Porsha was coming back. She and I had already talked, we both discussed that we were both trying to figure out what we wanted to do,” Kandi said.
She also addressed rumors that she was pushed out of RHOA to make way for Porsha.
“That wasn’t the case, production was trying to get us both to come back. So it wasn’t an either or situation. I’m happy for Porsha and I’m excited for what she has coming next. I’m excited for all the girls,” she said.
Season 15 of RHOA concluded in September 2023. In addition to Kandi, the main cast included Kenya Moore, Shereé Whitfield, Drew Sidora, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross.
So far, Porsha is the only confirmed season 16 cast member, although Kandi said Sunday it’s almost a given that Kenya will return.
“They’ve gotta have Kenya Moore!” she said, “I’m just going to put that there.”
