Jennifer Hudson is returning The Voice and she’s bringing 17-time Grammy winner Sting with her.
Hudson, an EGOT winner herself, and Sting will be serving as “mega mentors” for the current season 26 of the music competition series.
Hudson will join coaches, Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire, while Sting is with coaches Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani to mentor the remaining artists as each team prepares for the “knockout rounds,” starting Monday, Nov. 11.

As explained in NBC’s press release, in the knockouts, “the artists are paired against two other teammates, but this time, they will select their own songs to perform individually while their direct competitors watch and wait. Coaches alone choose the winner from their team to advance to the playoffs, the last round before the live shows. Each coach has one save and one steal in this round.”
Hudson appeared in season 15, where she took over for Alicia Keys as a coach. She would later be replaced in season 16 by John Legend.
Prior to season 15, she worked as a coach in season 13. It’s safe to say that even before The Voice, Hudson was no stranger to being part of a TV competition series.
The singer and daytime talk show host rose to fame because of her time as a competitor on the third season of American Idol in 2004. Hudson ended up placing seventh in the series.
The Voice, which was created by John de Mol airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT and Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
