Attorneys for Sean “Diddy” Combs say enough is enough.

The embattled music mogul’s legal team fired off a letter on Sunday, Nov. 3, calling for a gag order to limit statements made by potential witnesses and their lawyers in Combs’ federal sex trafficking case.

Diddy’s lawyers sent the emergency request to the federal judge overseeing the case, asking for an end to the “deluge of improper pretrial publicity,” ABC News reported.

The letter specifically mentioned comments made by Courtney Burgess, a grand jury witness claiming to have been given 11 flash drives containing videos of Diddy at “freak-off” parties with eight celebrity “victims.”

Burgess, who is a music producer and former associate of Combs, gave testimony to the grand jury on Oct. 31, and spoke with reporters outside the federal courthouse in Manhattan.

After chatting up journalists, Burgess and his attorney Ariel Mitchell sat down for an interview with NewsNation’s Ashleigh Banfield about the case.

Banfield admitted there were “limitations” on what Burgess could share — since he’s a federal witness.

Still, Burgess did say Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, the late Kim Porter, gave him the flash drives for safe keeping. He alleged “two to three, possibly three” of the celebrities in the videos appeared to be minors.

Diddy’s lawyers responded by insisting Burgess and others are “undermining Mr. Combs’ right to a fair trial and the integrity of the grand jury proceedings.”

“These stories have spread rapidly through the media and created the impression that such videos exist, which is false, and that the government is actually crediting his sensational claims, which is profoundly prejudicial,” the legal team’s letter read.

The Bad Boy Records founder was arrested on Sept. 16 in New York City and charged with three counts — racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

A federal judge set a May 5, 2025 trial date for the mogul.
