The trailer for Blink Twice, Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut, offers a look inside the party scene on a private island.

Channing Tatum (Magic Mike) leads the cast as Slater King, a tech billionaire who lures women to his island to partake in “legendary” parties.

King may remind viewers of Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender who owned a private island that became known as “pedophile” island.

The trailer begins with King saying, “So, everybody’s dead. How about we start at the beginning.”

Naomi Ackie (Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody) co-stars as cocktail waitress Frida, who jets off to King’s island for a good time, but quickly realizes something isn’t right.

The all-star cast includes Haley Joel Osment, Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, and Kyle MacLachlan, with Geena Davis and Alia Shawkat.

According to the official description: “No one wants this trip to end, but as strange things start to happen, Frida begins to question her reality. There is something wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive.”

Kravitz, an actress known for her roles in Big Little Lies and High Fidelity, steps behind the camera for the first time with Blink Twice.

The film was originally titled Pussy Island, and explores themes of power dynamics and gender in industries like tech and entertainment.

The idea for the film emerged from Kravitz’s frustration with the treatment of women in the two industries, she told the Wall Street Journal.

The actress co-wrote the script with High Fidelity writer E.T. Feigenbaum. Producers include Bruce Cohen, Tiffany Persons, Garret Levitz, Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum.

Kravitz and her now-fiancé Tatum have been romantically linked since 2021 when she reached out to cast the superstar actor in her film.

Blink Twice comes from Amazon MGM Studios and premieres Aug. 23 in theaters.
