Poppa’s House won’t return for a second season on CBS.
The network canceled the Wayans family comedy series after just one season, TV Line reported Tuesday.
Damon Wayans leads the cast as “Poppa,” a happily divorced talk radio host, who still finds himself parenting his adult son “Junior,” played by his real-life son Damon Wayans Jr.
Junior is a dreamer trying to pursue his passions while being a husband to Nina (Tetona Jackson ) and father to his own son.

The sitcom also stars Essence Atkins, Wendy Raquel Robinson, and Geoffrey Owens, and has featured a roster of famous guest stars including Marlon Wayans and Tommy Davidson.
Dean Lorey, Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. serve as executive producers for CBS Studios.
The series premiered on Oct. 21, and has been averaging about 4.1 million viewers (with delayed playback) per episode.
Per TV Line, the comedy is CBS’ least-watched scripted show this season.
In March, CBS said The Neighborhood and S.W.A.T. would both end after their eighth seasons.
For now, the future of The Equalizer has yet to be announced.
In another development on Tuesday, CBS canceled reality competition series The Summit after one season.
The show follows contestants as they climb a mountain, facing mental and physical challenges.
The series averaged just 2.6 million total viewers.
