Michael Blackson causes jaws to drop in the trailer for the new season of VH1 Couples Retreat.
The actor and comedian and his fiancée, realtor Rada Cheang, host the show and are supposed to guide the other couples into an emotional deep dive. But the tables turn when Rada tells the group Michael sees up to 12 other women on the side in a year.
“I did like it, but not all the time. When I feel like I’m not enough and you gotta go out all the time,” Rada says before getting interrupted by Blackson who says she controls the situation.

But the other couple’s don’t believe it.
“You’re not equally yoked. You guys, you don’t feel the same way. You don’t want to continue on with that,” Shamari DeVoe tells the couple while sitting for dinner as a group. The Blaque singer continued, “It’s no way that that’s going to work out.”
Blackson doesn’t want to hear it and vents in a confessional that the other couples are just old fashioned.
“I’m feeling very judged by these regular couples. They live regular old-school 1966 lives. The reason that this didn’t work for them is they didn’t have this agreement at the beginning of their relationship. We’ve always been like this since day one,” the Ghanaian-Liberian actor says.
That’s likely just one of the issues that will cause tension on the series. This season Shamari DeVoe appears with her husband, music legend Ronnie DeVoe. The other couples also include media personality Claudia Jordan and boyfriend KJ; NBA star Nick Young and his high school sweetheart Keonna; Styles P (The Lox) and Adjua; and Jess Hilarious (Wild’n Out) and her boyfriend Daniel.
The new season of VH1 couples Retreat premieres tonight at 9PM ET/PT after the season premiere of Basketball Wives at 8PM ET/PT.
