Tina Turner has broken her silence on the death of her son Ronald “Ronnie” Turner.

The music legend shared an emotional tribute to her late son Friday afternoon on Instagram.

“In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son,” the singer captioned a photo of herself with her eyes closed.

Ronnie died Thursday in Los Angeles at age 62. His wife, Afida, confirmed his death in a heartfelt post on Instagram.

“I did the best to the end, this time I was not able to save you,” Afida captioned a photo gallery of her late husband. “This is a tragedy, u with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline. Rest in paradise so unfair.”

Law enforcement sources told TMZ Ronnie died “outside his home” after he was found struggling to breathe.

Paramedics responded to the home in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley section, but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ronnie reportedly had a history of health problems, including cancer. It’s unclear what caused his death.

He was born in October 1960. His father — musician, songwriter and record producer Ike Turner, died in 2007.

Tina Turner’s oldest son, Craig Turner, died by suicide in Los Angeles in 2018. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said at the time that Craig was pronounced deceased at his home in the Studio City neighborhood — also in the San Fernando Valley.

Following a memorial service for Craig, Tina Turner wrote on Instagram that it was her “saddest moment as a mother.”
