The Talk has an official end date.
The long-running daytime talk show will conclude with a live show on Friday, Dec. 20, CBS said in a press release on Tuesday (Nov. 26).
The final week of live shows begins Dec. 16, and will see hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood say goodbye with giveaways, alongside special guests.
The series finale comes after 15 seasons and almost 3,000 episodes.

The CBS daytime talk show made its debut on Oct. 18, 2010, with a very different set of hosts — Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Gilbert developed the series for CBS.
The first guest was model and actress Christie Brinkley.
Other past hosts include Aisha Tyler, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba, Marie Osmond, and Elaine Welteroth.
Over its 15-season run, the show earned 14 Daytime Emmy Awards including the award for Outstanding Talk Show Entertainment, in both 2016 and 2018, beating out ABC’s The View and NBC’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
While the discussions on The Talk are often upbeat, the daily one-hour talk show saw its share of controversy with the ousting of Sharon Osbourne, after she was involved in a heated exchange with Underwood during the March 10, 2021 episode.
The two exchanged words over British TV personality Piers Morgan’s comments on social media when he dismissed allegations of racism Meghan Markle made against the royal family during a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey.
CBS then launched an internal investigation and announced Osbourne would not be returning to The Talk. She later went on on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher to insist she wasn’t racist and said she was “angry and hurt” about the situation.
As previously reported, daytime soap Beyond The Gates will be taking over The Talk’s timeslot, weekdays from 2:00-3:00 PM ET; and 1:00-2:00 PM PT on CBS and stream on Paramount+ starting on Feb. 24, 2025.
