Marie Osmond has officially joined The Talk.

The CBS daytime talk show made the announcement on May 7, a little less than a month after co-host Sara Gilbert announced she planned to leave the series.

“I am honored to be here,” the actress-singer said to her fellow co-hosts following a celebratory entrance. “To be able to sit at this table with these beautiful women is a dream come true for me.”

Osmond had high praise for Gilbert, who she’ll replace when Season 10 of the show kicks off in September. “I adore you. And as the creator of this show, you are such a great actress and producer. Look what you’ve created. Everybody knows whatever you touch is going to be successful. We love you.”

The Donny & Marie alum also gave compliments to her other co-hosts, including Sharon Osbourne, Eve, Sheryl Underwood, and Carrie Ann Inaba.

After the news broke, Osmond issued an official statement about her new gig, stating: “It is such a joy for me to be joining THE TALK in September. After guest co-hosting and appearing as a guest on the show throughout the years, I am thrilled to now call this my day job.”

Angelica McDaniel, executive vice president of daytime programs and syndicated programs development at CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Distribution, praised Osmond for her “willingness to be authentic.”

“Marie’s impressive career accomplishments have endeared her to fans throughout the decades,” McDaniel said in part. “Her willingness to be authentic and share personal triumphs and struggles with honesty in the hopes of helping others always resonates. I’m excited to kick off season 10 with the multi-talented, dynamic Marie at The Talk table.”
