The newly released trailer for the 10-episode season finds LC exacting revenge as he moves to put the kibosh on a blackmail plot.

“I learned no one is ever going to push me or my family around,” a gun-wielding LC warns in the video.

Here’s the official description for season 5: “As LC, Chippy, and the entire Duncan clan welcome their son, Vegas home, they are disheartened by Junior leaving the family. As LC does whatever it takes to protect Vegas, allies become enemies who devise a plan to overtake The Table. A thief in the night proves to be more than just a random robber, and he leads Rio on a hunt that will change the Duncan family forever. Meanwhile, Paris’s ex, Niles Monroe, reappears unexpectedly with a warning of sweet revenge.”

The series is created and executive produced by Carl Weber, and based on his bestselling crime book series. Additional executive producers include N.D. Brown, Ernie Hudson, and Trey Haley.

Weber writes and Haley directs.

Season 5 of The Family Business premieres with three episodes July 4 on BET+, followed by a new episode, every Thursday, with the finale debuting on Aug. 22.
