CBS has decided not to move forward with a spinoff of The Equalizer starring Bosch: Legacy alum Titus Welliver and Harlem‘s Juani Feliz.
The actors were introduced on the Sunday, April 20 episode of The Equalizer alongside series lead Queen Latifah.
In the episode titled “Sins of the Father,” Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah) was contacted by Samantha Reed (Feliz) whose father, ex-CIA agent Elijah Reed (Welliver) went missing.
The episode served as a backdoor pilot for the potential new series. But on Monday, TV Line and other Hollywood trades reported CBS decided it no longer wanted the spinoff.

The network also dropped plans to bring audiences a spinoff of comedy series The Neighborhood, which will end after its upcoming eighth season, as previously reported.
The new show was going to center on Calvin and Tina’s adult sons Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) and Marty Butler (Marcel Spears), as they “embark on new adventures, finally leaving their parents’ nest to start the next chapter of their lives.”
The Neighborhood star and co-executive producer Cedric the Entertainer was going to ep the new show, along with Bill Martin, Mike Schiff, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, and Eric C. Rhone.
Instead CBS ordered a new FBI spinoff starring Tom Ellis as a “fast-talking, rule-breaking” CIA case officer.
The series titled FBI: CIA is scheduled to premiere during the 2025-2026 broadcast season.
CBS recently canceled FBI offshoots FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.
