The Blackening is coming to Starz in time for Halloween.
The Lionsgate-owned network announced in a press release the film will arrive on TV and the Starz App on Oct. 4.
The horror comedy follows a group of Black friends on a Juneteenth getaway from hell.

The group’s vacation starts as a celebration of Blackness, but soon turns into a nightmare when they find a game called “The Blackening.” The vacationers open the box containing the game, and a killer wearing a horrifying mask appears.
The Blackening stars Grace Byers, Jermaine Fowler, Melvin Gregg, X Mayo, Dewayne Perkins, Antoinette Robertson, Sinqua Walls, Jay Pharoah, and Yvonne Orji.

The film was directed by Tim Story, and co-written by Tracy Oliver and Dewayne Perkins.
The movie hit theaters on June 16. The Lionsgate release grossed $18.1 million at the worldwide box office on a $5 million budget. Although Lionsgate paid a reported $20 million to acquire the comedy after it debuted at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
In addition to The Blackening, Starz will air several other scary movies in October. The titles include:
