The 2023 Black Music Honors will feature a star-studded lineup of performers, including Tamar Braxton and Latocha Scott.
The R&B singer and reality TV star and the multi-platinum selling Xscape artist are set to take the stage at this year’s show, producers announced in a press release.
Also performing will be Anthony Hamilton, Tina Campbell, Robin Thicke, Lil’ Mo, Kenny Lattimore, 702, Rahee, DeVaughn, Dave Hollister, Elle Varner, Sevyn Streeter, Nicole Wray, Tweet, Beverly Crawford, Le’Andria Johnson, Zacardi Cortez, Melvin Williams, The Shindellas, Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling, Kelontae Gavin, and Juvenile.
“As we come together to celebrate the rich cultural milestone that is Black Music Month, we get the unique opportunity to showcase the depth and breadth of talent within the Black music community,” show founder and executive producer Don Jackson said.

As previously reported, this year’s honorees are award-winning musical group SWV; hip-hop superstar Missy Elliott; disco superstar Evelyn “Champagne” King; R&B singer Jeffrey Osborne; and gospel trailblazers The Hawkins Family.
The annual event celebrates Black music and honors artists who have shaped the industry, and left an indelible mark on the culture. The show is produced by Chicago-based production company Central City Productions.
The 8th annual Black Music Honors will be held on Friday, May 19 at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
The show premieres on the Stellar Network on June 3, and airs in national broadcast syndication from Saturday, June 10 to Sunday, July 2. The show will also air on Bounce TV on June 19.
