Three weeks after Jamie Foxx was hospitalized in Georgia for an undisclosed “medical complication,” his friend Kevin Hart has shared an encouraging update.

Hart sat down for an interview this week on Jake Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast.

The Ride Along star discussed his own hospitalization after a car accident nearly took his life in 2019, and shared new information about Foxx after being asked how the Ray star is doing.

“I’m very fortunate to have the relationship that I have with Jamie and to be able to just check on him and stuff like that,” Hart said.

He also discussed why few details have been released on the Oscar winner’s condition since he was hospitalized last month.

“They’re being tight and for reasons just about where he is, because Jamie’s always been a private person to a certain degree,” Hart explained.

Hart added that Foxx is aware of the outpouring of concern from friends and fans.

“I think the dope thing is that he’s getting better in his situation,” The Upside actor said. “Everybody’s prayers, everybody’s love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt. So in this case, man, you just want the guy to get out of the situation he’s in and get back home.”

Hart admitted he didn’t know the exact details of what happened to his friend, but said he understands things are looking up.

“To my knowledge, there is a lot of progression,” he continued. “My love, synergy, energy goes out to him. He’s needed. He’s necessary. I know that he knows that, and I know that he feels that because there’s been an outcry, an outpour of support in this regard, so I can only hope that it continues.”

As previously reported, Foxx made his first public comments on Wednesday since he was hospitalized.

“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he said in a post shared on Instagram.

The Oscar-winning actor was hospitalized on April 11, while he was in Atlanta filming his upcoming Netflix film Back in Action.

Since then, well-wishes have poured in across social media.
