The trailer for Saw X shows Tobin Bell returning as John “Jigsaw” Kramer and he’s out for blood.
Kramer died at the end of Saw III. But the games continued with his apprentices picking up where he left off. The official synopsis for the new film says the events are set between Saw and Saw II, and this is jigsaw’s “most personal” game yet.
The preview begins with a doctor telling Kramer he has inoperable cancer.
“I’m afraid there’s nothing else we can do,” the doctor says, before offering a glimmer of hope by sharing that there’s a doctor in Mexico who might be able to help.
A sick and desperate John travels to a hospital outside Mexico City for an experimental procedure in hopes of a miracle cure. The doctor there tells him the program has had “stunning results.” A woman who claims to be a former patient says the program saved her life.

The trailer shows the people involved in the scam chained up in a dungeon. “You all pretended to cure me, but what I have planned for each of you is very real,” Kramer warns.
Just before the video ends, he tells his victims: “This is not retribution, it’s a re-awakening.”
