Phylicia Rashad to Star in Hallmark Holiday Movie ‘Heaven Down Here’

The holidays will bring the gift of friendship to four strangers, in the Hallmark movie Heaven Down Here.

The film stars Phylicia Rashad, Krystal Joy Brown, Tina Lifford, Juan Riedinger, and Richard Harmon.

Inspired by country music singer Mickey Guyton’s 2020 song Heaven Down Here,” the film follows four strangers who cross paths and bond at a diner on Christmas Eve, after getting stranded in a winter storm.

Imani (Brown) is a widowed mother of two who’s having trouble making ends meet and reluctantly agrees to work the Christmas Eve shift, where she clashes with her boss Dan (Harmon), who’s not in the Christmas spirit.

Felix (Riedinger) is a local pastor trying to secure food for parishioners while family problems challenge his faith.

Clara (Lifford) is a hospice nurse with a difficult patient (Rashad). Throughout the evening, the people in the group bicker, bond and eventually provide each other with the answer to their respective prayers.

Heaven Down Here airs Thursday, Dec. 14 at 8PM ET/PT on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
