Pooch Hall and Andrea Lewis bond over music in the upcoming Hallmark Mahogany movie A Nashville Legacy.
Hall plays Damian in the original film highlighting the music and history of Nashville, Tennessee. Lewis co-stars as Naima, who interns as a curator at the local museum.
The cast also includes Stan Shaw and Roz Ryan. Curt Chambers and Reuben Studdard have cameos in the film.
Here’s the official description: “Naima (Lewis) has recently moved to Nashville, where she is getting her doctorate while interning as a curator at a well-known Nashville museum. The tales her late grandmother shared about the old days in Music City during the 1950s provided a fascination that led music enthusiast Naima back to her grandmother’s old haunts. As she begins her work at the museum, Naima meets Damian (Hall), a volunteer… or so she thinks. Damian is actually the heir to the Berryhall Records empire, run by his father Franklin Berryhall (Shaw), but he is struggling to step out from under his father’s shadow of success. The two begin to get close, bonding over their love for music and their desire to leave their respective marks on the world.”

The Mahogany banner is inspired by Hallmark’s line of Black greeting cards. The films feature stories on Black women experiencing the joys of love through romance, sisterhood, and community.
The first movie under the banner titled Unthinkably Good Things, starred Karen Pittman and was directed by Terri J. Vaughn. It premiered last year.
A Nashville Legacy debuts Sunday, Feb. 26, at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries.
