Two lawyers who were friends for decades clash as courtroom drama and personal relationships get entangled in the new trailer for OWN’s upcoming legal drama Delilah.
The trailer starts out by showing what drives attorney Delilah Connolly (played by Black-ish’s Maahra Hill) to pursue law—doing it for the people, while money motivates her best friend Tamara Roberts (Girlfriends’ Jill Marie Jones).
“D, I know you. Leah Davis is a magnet for trouble. Promise you won’t take her case. I’m putting quotes on ‘case,’” Tamara tells Delilah as they dine together at a fancy restaurant. “You are so bad,” single mother Delilah responds.

Here’s how OWN describes the series: “Delilah has always represented the underdogs. Tamara has always represented the wealthy and powerful. But this case is different. This time, Delilah’s most cherished friendship is on the line, and there are lives at stake.”
The drama is set in Charlotte, North Carolina and was developed by Greenleaf creator Craig Wright, who also serves as an executive producer. Charles Randolph-Wright and Oprah Winfrey are additional executive producers. Warner Bros. Television and Harpo Films produced the series.
Delilah premieres Tuesday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN. Watch the trailer below:
