Omarion has lined up his next gig — playing a hitman in the upcoming AllBlk drama series Wild Rose.
The streaming service announced details on the project Wednesday, Oct. 30, saying the R&B singer will lead the cast.
The series follows Roosevelt aka “Rose,” a charismatic hitman with a conscience, who comes from a family of assassins that also runs a non-profit organization.
“Behind the non-profit façade is an elite, family-run, hired-gun agency known for taking down high-profile targets,” according to the official synopsis.
Omarion will also executive produce.
“I’m ecstatic that I’m back on your television in a new way,” the singer said in a statement. “The Wild Rose is coming. I can’t wait for AllBlk fans and others to see a different side of me. I’ve never played a character quite like this. Let’s just say I’m venturing out of my comfort zone.”
He added, “Every new project is an opportunity to learn, grow and expand my range as an actor. Rose is not your average assassin.”

His new project Wild Rose is created by Deji LaRay (Johnson and Escaping Paradise). In addition to Omarion, executive producers include Michelle Le Fleur and LaRay for Omarion Worldwide LLC. Dale S. Lewis and Erik White serve as directors.
Production on the series begins in November in Los Angeles.
