The first two promos are out for Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and the queen of talk is not holding back.
In one clip from Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special, Winfrey asks Markle, “Were you silent or were you silenced?”

Oprah ends the first teaser with “you’ve said some pretty shocking things here,” before the video cuts to Meghan looking at Harry, and Oprah telling the couple, “Hold up, wait a minute.”
The second promo deals more with Harry comparing the negative paparazzi attention they both got in the U.K. to the media scrutiny his late mother Princess Diana received decades back — except Diana had to face the press alone after her marriage to Prince Charles unraveled.
“It has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we had each other,” Harry tells Oprah.
After a seemingly endless list of negative headlines from the British press, the duke and duchess decided to step back from their royal duties. Following a review of their first year outside the royal bubble, Queen Elizabeth II stripped them of their patronages with U.K. charities.
Still, Meghan did get a legal win last month against a British tabloid that published parts of a letter she wrote to her estranged father after her 2018 royal wedding.
Since relocating to California, Meghan and Harry have signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify. Now the couple will tell their side of the story when the CBS special airs at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 7.
Oprah’s Harpo Productions is producing the special, with Terry Wood and Tara Montgomery as executive producers and Brian Piotrowicz as co-executive producer.
