The terrifying first trailer is out for A Quiet Place: Day One.

Paramount Pictures released the teaser on Wednesday, Feb. 7, which shows Lupita Nyong’o going about life when an alien invasion unfolds.

The Oscar-winning actress plays a New Yorker who has no idea what’s happening as massive fiery objects start falling from the sky.

The film is a prequel to sci-fi thrillers A Quiet Place (2018) and A Quiet Place: Part II (2020), and will show why the world suddenly went silent.

The cast also includes Joseph Quinn and Alex Wolff, alongside franchise veterans John Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt.

The franchise comes from Krasinksi, Bryan Woods and Scott Beck.

The first two films were directed by Krasinksi and told the story of how the Abbott family survived when alien invaders used their sensitive hearing to hunt down humans.

The previous installments were big hits and combined made more than $600 million at the worldwide box office, according to The-Numbers.com.

Now, audiences will get to see what happened in places like New York City when the alien invasion began.

A Quiet Place: Day One is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski.

Producers include Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and John Krasinski. Allyson Seeger and Vicki Dee Rock are executive producers.

The film is scheduled to arrive in theater on June 28, 2024.
