Lifetime has released a teaser trailer for its new biopics on music icons Gloria Gaynor and Lisa Lisa, along with a film based on an iconic Mary J. Blige song.
The movies are all part of the network’s winter “Voices of a Lifetime” slate, which includes Family Affair, inspired by Blige’s single by the same name.
Family Affair stars Ajiona Alexus and Da’Vinchi as a young couple trying to save their relationship and stay true to their real love.

Blige executive produced the film, which is the third installment in a Lifetime franchise inspired by her music.
Mary J. Blige’s Family Affair premieres Saturday, Jan. 25 on Lifetime at 8/7c.
Can You Feel the Beat: The Lisa Lisa Story tells the story of Lisa Velez, better known as chart-topping singer Lisa Lisa, who was part of 1980s supergroup Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam.
Actress Jearnest Corchado portrays the Latin hip-hop and R&B pioneer in the film, while Velez serves as an executive produce and portrays her real-life mother.
The movie follows then-15-year-old Velez, a Puerto Rican girl from Hell’s Kitchen, who endures sexism and racism while hiding her own breast cancer diagnosis to become the first Latina artist to appear on multiple Billboard charts, thanks to the songs “Can You Feel The Beat” and “Lost in Emotion.”
The biopic also looks at Velez’s friendship with backup singer Toni Ménage. The two best friends “refuse to allow themselves to be destroyed by the entertainment business and give up on their dreams.”
Can You Feel the Beat: The Lisa Lisa Story premieres Saturday, February 1 on Lifetime at 8/7c.
Robin Roberts Presents I Will Survive: The Gloria Gaynor Story chronicles the “queen of disco” and her rise to fame, from humble beginnings to becoming an iconic voice with her legendary hit “I Will Survive.”
The biopic will also “delve into the deeply personal challenges Gaynor faced, including overcoming her long and tumultuous marriage to a controlling husband.”
The film stars Broadway actress Joaquina Kalukango as Gaynor and Lance Gross as her husband, Linwood Simon.
Robin Roberts’ company Rock’n Robin Productions produced the authorized biopic.
Robin Roberts Presents I Will Survive: The Gloria Gaynor Story premieres Saturday, February 8 at 8/7c.
It will be followed by the newly acquired Tribeca Spotlight documentary Gloria Gaynor: I Will Survive on the singer’s long and difficult journey to success.
