The Grammy Awards showered Kendrick Lamar with three awards before the main show.

The Compton native won the trophies on Sunday at the 2025 Premiere Ceremony — the portion of the awards held before the primetime telecast — where winners were revealed in 84 of the 94 categories.

The hip-hop star’s Drake diss track “Not Like Us” picked up awards for best rap song, best music video, and best rap performance during the ceremony, which the Recording Academy streamed live on its website.

Next weekend Kendrick will headline the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans — and fans are hoping the single makes it into his playlist.

This weekend, the Grammys Premiere Ceremony opened with a tribute to first responders and those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. Performers included current nominees Yolanda Adams, Wayne Brady, Deborah Cox, Scott Hoying, Angélique Kidjo, and Taj Mahal.

The fires broke out on Jan. 7, claimed at least 29 lives and destroyed more than 16,000 structures, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE).

The Recording Academy said it plans to raise money during the 2025 Grammys telecast to go toward “emergency assistance, essential supplies, and long-term recovery support to those affected” by the fires.

Hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, the main show began at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. The telecast aired live from the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+.

Beyoncé led the nominations with 11 nods, as previously reported. Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, and Post Malone follow with seven nominations each.
