Beyoncé is the latest celebrity to make a sizable donation to those affected by the devastating wildfires burning in Los Angeles County.
Through her charitable BeyGOOD foundation, the Grammy-winning singer has donated $2 million in assist families in the Altadena and Pasadena areas who lost their homes.
The foundation’s official Instagram account shared the news about the donation on Sunday, Jan. 12.
“Los Angeles we stand with you. BeyGOOD is taking action by announcing the LA Fire Relief Fund with a donation of 2.5 million dollars,” read the post. “The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”
Non-profit organization added, “To show your support for the impacted families and to learn more about BeyGOOD’s mission, please visit https://beygood.org.”

The devasting fires started on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and are being investigated by the ATF.
As of Monday morning, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL Fire) said the flames have burned 40,588 acres and destroyed more than 12,300 structures. High winds have played a major factor in fueling the fires.
Three fires are still raging in Los Angeles County — the Eaton, Palisades, and Hurst fires.
In the latest update from CAL Fire, the Hurst Fire is 95 percent contained, while containment for Palisades is only 14 percent and Eaton is 33 percent.

Jamie Lee Curtis
The Halloween actress donated $1 million through her family foundation and the funds will be directed to the most impacted.
Halle Berry
The Monsters Ball actress donated her entire closet to the Beverly Hills home goods store +Coop for the wildfire victims clothing drive.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Meghan Markle and husband Prince Harry have donated their time and money to victims of the Eaton Fire. The couple visited first responders and victims on Jan. 10 at a World Central Kitchen outpost to help distribute food and supplies to fire victims in Pasadena.
The Game
The Compton rapper announced that he will temporarily cover the cost of housing for ten families displaced by the fires.
Comcast/NBCUniversal
The company donated $10 million to the American Red Cross, the Entertainment Industry Foundation SoCal Fire Fund, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, to help with the recovery efforts.
Netflix
The streaming giant pledged $10 million toward the relief effort and said many of its the company’s employees and creative partners were directly impacted by this disaster. “Beyond this financial contribution, we are directly assisting all of our impacted employees at this incredibly difficult time, including assistance with temporary housing needs for those who lost their homes. We are also continuing to double-match all employee charitable contributions through our employee giving program,” co-CEO Ted Sarandos said in a statement.
Disney
The company donated $15 million to organizations offering essential services on the ground including the American Red Cross, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
Sony Group
The company gave $5 million to relief organizations supporting first responders, community relief and rebuilding efforts and employee assistance programs. “Los Angeles has been the home of our entertainment business for more than 35 years… We will continue to work with our local business leadership to determine how best Sony Group can support relief and recovery efforts in the days ahead,” Kenichiro Yoshida, the company’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement.
SAG-AFTRA
The union announced a $1 million donation to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation to assist members experiencing hardship caused by the fires. SAG-AFTRA represents 160,000 actors, announcers, broadcast journalists, dancers, DJs, news writers, news editors, program hosts, puppeteers, recording artists, singers, stunt performers, voiceover artists and other media professionals.
