Kandi Burruss isn’tt exactly a fan of her former The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star NeNe Leakes — and there’s a reason why.
Burruss dished hot tea about Leakes Thursday while speaking with TMZ’s “It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper” podcast.

The songwriter and Xscape singer sat down for an interview to promote her new Bravo series Kandi & The Gang. During the interview, Burruss accused Leakes of calling her a racial slur and being messy overall.
“I don’t know what her problem is with me. I’ve seen her say all kinds of stuff,” Burruss said.
“This right here pissed me the f–k off … when she said somewhere calling me a ‘c–-n’ or something,” Burruss said about Leakes.
Kandi added that she was confused about what made NeNe turn against her.
“I normally don’t even address it,” Burruss said. “Like, realistically, I think this is the only time publicly I’ve talked about that, but it’s annoying. It’s annoying as f–-k, especially when you say things like using the ‘c–n’ term toward me, because if nothing else, like, realistically, I am the only one out of [the cast] that even still lives in a majority Black community.”

RHOA fans know Leakes left the show under murky circumstances and there’s bad blood with Bravo. Shortly after announcing she was exiting the series in a video posted on her YouTube channel in 2020, Leakes later said she had been mistreated by network brass.
Kandi think’s NeNe’s issues with Bravo may have affected their friendship.
“I didn’t do nothing to her, and that’s the crazy thing. I think she was having her own issues with the network, right? And that was very public or whatever. But I don’t know if because I have a better relationship with them she had negative things to say about me,” she said.
Meanwhile in an Interview with Urban Hollywood 411 earlier this month, Burruss addressed a rumor going around that she’s being replaced on season 14 of RHOA by The Real co-host Jeannie Mai Jenkins.

Kandi said it ain’t true. “I don’t know who started that rumor because right now we just wrapped season 14 and I can tell you, I’m all the way through it. I love Jeannie. Mind you, I think she’s cool. I would love to see her come on the show. But as of now, she’s not there. I am so sorry guys, you’re stuck with me, at least for now,” she explained.
As for what’s next for the entertainment mogul, she told us she has big dreams.
“I want to produce films. Yeah. Just continue to build my businesses own more real estate. I would love to do my own talk show one day,” she said. Yeah, like so many things. So many things. I had. I never stopped dreaming. I always have a new dream that I just started going after.”
