Kandi Burruss’ new Bravo spinoff Kandi & The Gang will test if there are too many cooks in the kitchen at her Old Lady Gang restaurant in Atlanta.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star invites cameras to follow the heat in and out of the kitchen at her Southern eatery named after the “old lady gang” in her family: Kandi’s mom, Mama Joyce, and Aunts Nora and Bertha.
After receiving positive reviews and having customers line up down the block when the restaurant opened four years ago, the family members and staff at OLG work to restructure the restaurant to continue its success.
The staff featured on the show include Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker; Mama Joyce; Aunts Nora and Bertha; operational manager DonJuan Clark; and restaurant developer and consultant Phillip Frempong, who is trying to set a new tone at OLG. Also featured will be longtime hostess Shawndreca Robinson who has had a past entanglement with OLG valet owner Patrick; resident events manager Torin Mitchell; Kandi’s cousin and Aunt Bertha’s grandson Patrick who manages the OLG parking lot behind the restaurant and also is balancing several side hustles with his complicated love life; bartender turned server Brian Redmond; kitchen manager Melvin Jones; and Rashard Roles who is the host at Kandi’s other restaurant.
