Good Burger premiered in 1997. The film followed an absent-minded teenager and his new co-worker as they tried to save the aging burger joint where they worked from closing after a new burger restaurant opened across the street.

The movie was based on a sketch from the Nickelodeon series All That, starring Thompson and Mitchell alongside Amanda Bynes and Nick Cannon.

Good Burger 2 is produced by Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. Phil Traill (The Middle, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) directs from a script written by Kevin Kopelow & Heath Seifert (All That, Good Burger), who also serve as executive producers alongside John Ryan Jr. from Artists for Artists.

The movie comes from Nickelodeon Studios and Paramount+.
