Latino trailblazers in Hollywood will be honored at the fourth annual Critics Choice Celebration of Latino Cinema & Television.
Since 2021, the event has recognized the achievements of Latino artists, performers, and visionaries — both in front of and behind the camera —spotlighting their impact in the entertainment industry.
Among the 2024 honorees are actress and producer Zoe Saldaña, who will receive the Groundbreaker Award for her starring role in Netflix’s Emilia Pérez, which as previously reported recently won at the Cannes Film Festival.

Oscar and Emmy-nominated actress Adriana Barraza will be honored with the actress award for film for her role in Roadside Attractions’ My Penguin Friend.
The Critics Choice Celebration of Latino Cinema & Television will take place on Oct. 22 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.
“We are incredibly proud to have such a remarkable group of honorees,” said Critics Choice Association board member Clayton Davis. “This year’s roster of projects, helmed, produced, and starring Latino artists, is another stunning example of our community’s deep and rich talents. We cannot wait to honor them for their remarkable achievements.”
Davis will serve as host, writer, and co-programmer for the event. The celebration is produced by Madelyn Hammond and Javier Infante of Madelyn Hammond & Associates.
The Critics Choice Association, the largest critics group in the U.S. and Canada, represents over 600 media critics and entertainment journalists. Formed in 2019, it merged the Broadcast Film Critics Association and Broadcast Television Journalists Association to recognize the intersection of film, TV, and streaming.
