Wendy Williams wants to sit down with her replacement, Sherri Shepherd, to discuss some of their back and forth exchanges on social media.

“I would love the chance to actually speak with Sherri and sit down and meet,” Williams told Yahoo Entertainment in a May 12 article.

Her attorney, LaShawn Thomas, added: “Wendy requesting to have a sit down with Sherri to have a meeting of the minds is the perfect solution as she has no ill will or intent. Wendy is preparing to get her show back in motion.”

The comments from the daytime diva and her attorney came after The Wendy Williams Show was canceled, with her timeslot going to Shepherd for a new daytime talk show titled Sherri.

In an interview with Fat Joe — who has guest hosted for Williams — over the weekend on Instagram Live, Williams talked about her financial problems and the cancellation of her show.

Asked if she plans to watch Shepherd’s new program, Williams responded: “It’s not my thing.” Williams told Fat Joe she likes Sherri, but she prefers being on her own show and plans to come back.

She also said she’s broke as a result of her bank account being frozen amid concerns about her mental well-being. “Unfortunately, I only have $2 and nothing else. Everything is frozen and some people are involved with this and so that’s what I’m doing right now,” she said.

In response to this interview, Shepherd went on Instagram Live.

“I’m not mad at Wendy. She’s going through a lot. I would say that everyone should be praying for Wendy right now. I’m truly concerned for her because I don’t feel like there’s anybody over there protecting her,” Sherri said.

The former The View co-host has not responded to the request for a meeting.

As you may recall, Williams had her show canceled in February amid ongoing health problems. This current season has been airing with guest hosts since the Oct. 18 premiere.

Shepherd, who filled in many times became a fan favorite to the point that she was offered her own show to take over Williams’ timeslot in the fall.

As for The Wendy Williams Show final season, it’s set to end on June 17. No word yet on whether Williams will make an appearance on the final show.
