The 6th annual Urban One Honors will shine a spotlight on Dionne Warwick, Frankie Beverly, Chlöe Bailey, and Donald Lawrence.
Each year the awards recognize Black excellence in the arts, media, music, and the community.
This year, Grammy-winning singer Dionne Warwick will receive the lifetime achievement award. Iconic soul and funk musician Frankie Beverly will pick up the living legend award. Gospel music songwriter, producer and artist Donald Lawrence will receive the inspirational impact honor, and singer-songwriter Chlöe will be celebrated as the generation next honoree.

“As we unveil the lineup for this year’s Urban One Honors, we are delighted to highlight the incredible musical journeys of Dionne Warwick, Chlöe, Frankie Beverly, and Donald Lawrence.” Michelle Rice, president of TV One and CLEO TV, said in a statement on Wednesday.
“From soulful ballads to timeless contributions and contemporary brilliance, these iconic artists have not only shaped the musical landscape but have also contributed significantly to the cultural fabric of our society,” Rice added.
This year’s theme for the awards is “Best in Black.”
The list of performers includes Teyana Taylor, Bebe Winans, Damon Little, Angie Stone, October London, and there will be a reunion featuring KeKe Wyatt, Chanté Moore, and Nicci Gilbert (the cast of R&B Divas).
Singer and actress LeToya Luckett returns to host the event’s “Backstage Pass,” featuring interviews with the show’s honorees, performers, and presenters.
The awards are presented by TV One. The show marks the official kickoff celebration for TV One’s 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of entertainment programming.
The show is produced for TV One by James Seppelfrick of The Cheat Code. Marilyn Gill is the executive producer. Myriam Leger will serve as director and Daniel Moore as music director.
The two-hour telecast will be taped on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta.
The 2024 Urban One Honors: Best In Black is scheduled to premiere during Black History Month on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024 on TV One and simulcast on CLEO TV.
