“Why do you do this? Why do you wrestle,” Michael Peña asks in the opening of the trailer for Unstoppable.
“When people look at me, the first thing they see is what’s missing. If I win, having one leg won’t be the most important thing about me,” responds Jharrel Jerome as real-life athlete Anthony Robles.
Amazon released the trailer this week.

The inspiring true story follows Robles as he fights through adversity to become part of the Arizona State Wrestling Team and a future NCAA Champion.
Jennifer Lopez plays Robles’ mother Judy, one of his greatest supporters. Even as the family faces financial strains, she fights for him to stay in school to follow his dreams.
“You make people believe in something,” says Judy while she reads a letter from a third-grade fan. “When they see you, they don’t see someone who’s missing a leg, they see someone unstoppable.”
Bobby Cannavale, Mykelti Williamson, and Don Cheadle also star in the biopic.
The film marks William Goldenberg’s directorial debut. He is known for his movie editing work, for which he won an Academy Award in 2013 for Argo.
Anthony Robles also worked on the new film as a producer and stunt double, performing the complex wrestling moves and stunts.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company Artists Equity produced the film.
The Amazon MGM Studios release made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 6.
Unstoppable is coming to Prime Video on Jan. 16, 2025.
