Tracy Morgan Shares Update After Vomiting at Knicks Game and Being Taken Away in Wheelchair

LOS ANGELES - JAN 28: Tracy Morgan at the "What Men Want" Premiere at the Village Theater on January 28, 2019 in Westwood, CA

Tracy Morgan vomited at the New York Knicks vs Miami Heat game at Madison Square Garden on Monday night and needed medical attention.

Morgan, 56, was recorded sitting court side when he suddenly fell ill.

On Tuesday morning, March 18, the actor and comedian shared a picture and a statement from the hospital.

“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” he wrote on Instagram.

“More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” the statement continued.

Pictures and viral video posted on social media Monday night showed medics rushing over to help Morgan before he was taken away in a wheelchair.

Some people on social media said he also had a bloody nose.

CBS Sports reported the game was delayed 10 minutes “as staffers dealt with a situation court side.”

When the game was over, the Knicks beat the Heat 116 to 95.

In 2014, Morgan was involved in a near-fatal auto accident when a Walmart truck crashed into his limousine bus on the New Jersey Turnpike. Morgan suffered multiple injuries and his collaborator and mentor, James McNair, was killed.

Morgan slowly recovered and eventually returned to work.

The SNL and 30 Rock alum has two new shows currently in development.

He will next star in a spinoff of CBS comedy The Neighborhood titled Crutch. The comic will executive produce and lead the cast of the series as Francois “Frank” Crutchfield, a Harlem widower whose empty nest plans are put on hold after his millennial son and free-spirited daughter move back home.

The half-hour sitcom comes from Cedric The Entertainer’s A Bird and a Bear Entertainment, and is scheduled to premiere later this year on Paramount+, as previously reported.

NBC has also ordered an untitled comedy pilot starring and co-executive produced by Morgan about a disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image.

Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, and Sam Means are also executive producers.
