Evil lurks in every corner of Spiral, the new chapter in the Saw horror franchise.
The first trailer for the film was released Wednesday. It shows Chris Rock, who stars as brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks, and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) arriving on the scene of a sadistic crime.
“Whoever did this has another motive,” Rock’s character says. “They’re targeting cops.”

Later, Samuel L. Jackson’s veteran investigator arrives on the scene and warns “this shit is gonna go sideways, fast.”
Jackson is then shown asking, “You want to play games, motherf—r?”
Spiral stars Rock, Minghella, Jackson and Marisol Nichols; and is produced by the original Saw team of Mark Burg and Oren Koules. The film is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Josh Stolberg & Pete Goldfinger. Rock serves as executive producer.
