The scripted series is created, written, and executive produced by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip and First Wives Club ). In addition to Oliver, Amy Poehler and Pharrell Williams are executive producers.

The dramedy is produced by Amazon Studios and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Paper Kite Productions.
