A father and son may have been involved in the shooting death of rapper PnB Rock earlier this month at a restaurant in south Los Angeles.

The LAPD announced Wednesday a teenage suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the slaying.

The department also released a photo of a man they said targeted the rapper, born Rakim Allen, at a Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles while he had lunch with his girlfriend.

“Freddie Lee Trone has been identified as being a person involved in the murder of Rakim Allen. He should be considered armed and dangerous,” the LAPD said in a statement. The department urged anyone with information to call 911.

Local news station Fox 11 reported the 17-year-old boy arrested in the case is Trone’s son. Law enforcement sources told the station the teen allegedly pulled the trigger and his father drove the getaway car. TMZ reported the father and son burned the getaway car after the shooting.

According to published reports, the father has a lengthy criminal history and was on probation the day PnB Rock was killed.

Shortly after releasing Trone’s photo, the LAPD announced a 32-year-old woman named Shauntel Trone was arrested as an accessory to the murder. Police did not give details on her relationship to the teenage suspect or the elder Trone, but ABC7 reported she is the teen’s stepmother.

The department said the woman and the teen were arrested Tuesday in separate locations in the suburbs outside Los Angeles, with assistance from the FBI.

PnB Rock, 30, was robbed of his jewelry and shot on Sept. 12 at the Roscoe’s location in the 100 block of W. Manchester Ave.

Police said Wednesday the gunman also demanded jewelry from Rock’s girlfriend.

The rapper’s girlfriend has been criticized for posting a location-tagged photo of her meal on Instagram and tagging Rock in the since-deleted post. However, Fox 11 and TMZ both reported Wednesday that the father and son were in the Roscoe’s parking lot and saw the couple arrive.

The rapper was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time after the shooting.

Witnesses said the gunman and the victim argued during the robbery. Police said they planned to use surveillance footage from inside the restaurant and nearby businesses to identify the suspect.

PnB Rock was born in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia in December 1991. He released his first mixtape in 2014, and was signed to a deal with Atlantic Records. The rapper was best known for his 2015 single “Fleek” and the 2016 track “Selfish,” which climbed to No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has over 56 million views on YouTube. He was also featured on Ed Sheeran’s single “Cross Me” along with Chance the Rapper.
