Seven couples who’ve been “dating” online, but never met in person are in for some big surprises on season 2 of OWN’s The Never Ever Mets.

The new season of the dating series is set to premiere on April 4.

The series follows couples who’ve spent months, and in some cases years, connecting over the internet, but never took the next step.

Now they’ll spend three weeks together in a Los Angeles villa to see if their virtual chemistry translates to real life.

The singles range in age from 28 to 47 years old, and are from around the country. In the recently released season 2 trailer, some of the singles express concerns about meeting in person.

“I’ve been talking to this woman a damn year and I’ve never even seen her from the chest down,” says Chris from Dallas.

Chris was introduced to Alexis of Philadelphia by a mutual friend over the phone. They built a love connection online, now they’ll find out if they’re really compatible.

Other couples this season have been communicating anywhere from three months to four years!

“There’s so much you can hide behind a screen,” says Tatiana of Los Angeles.

Tatiana has been connecting with Clavacia of Riverdale, Georgia for eight months after meeting on social media. But according to OWN, Clavacia is hiding a major secret.

Actress Ta’Rhonda Jones hosts the series.

The first season premiered in April 2024, and ranked as Friday night’s #1 original series on ad-supported cable in its time period across all key African American demos, according to OWN.

The Never Ever Mets is produced for OWN by Bunim/Murray Productions, a Banijay Americas company.

Season 2 premieres on Friday, April 4 at 8pm ET/PT on OWN.
