Marvel released a new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Monday and it appears to show who will be the new Black Panther.
The video opens with a distraught Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) carrying the Black Panther’s helmet, and shows a kingdom in mourning following the death of King T’Challa (played by the late Chadwick Boseman).
“We know what you whisper. They have lost their protector. Now is our time to strike. Show them who we are,” Queen Ramonda says.
The trailer ends with a new version of the Black Panther suit, and it appears Shuri (Letitia Wright) has taken over the mantle of Black Panther.

Boseman, who played Black Panther in the first film, died from complications of colon cancer in August 2020.
The sequel follows the fictional nation of Wakanda after it loses its king and is attacked by a secret underwater nation.
Last week, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige told Empire why he and writer-director Ryan Coogler decided not to recast the T’Challa role.
“It just felt like it was much too soon to recast,” he said. “And we had talked about how, as extraordinary and fantastical as our characters and stories are, there’s a relatable and human element to everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And Ryan poured that into the story.”
This is the second trailer for the sequel, after the previous teaser debuted in July.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on Nov. 11.
