Tyler Perry is bringing Madea back to “stir up chaos” in a new movie.

Netflix made the announcement this week during its annual “Next on Netflix” presentation, showcasing films, series, and games coming in 2025.

Madea’s Destination Wedding will follow the outspoken character’s nephew Brian (Tyler Perry) and his ex-wife Debrah (Taja V. Simpson), as they learn that their daughter Tiffany (Diamond White) is engaged to a rapper she met on a yacht and the wedding is in two weeks in the Bahamas.

Jermaine Harris and Xavier Smalls also star in the comedy that is slated to be released later this year.

Perry directs, plays multiple characters, and produces along with Angi Bones, and Yolanda T. Cochran.

The upcoming film marks Perry’s sixth feature from his partnership with Netflix, which began in October 2023.

During the presentation, Netflix also announced a new 2025 comedy series from Perry, titled She The People, starring Terri J. Vaughn, Jade Novah, and Drew Olivia Tillman.

The event was held at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles and special guests included Tina Fey, Ben Affleck, and Guillermo Del Toro, who were all there to promote their future projects.
