NBC Announces Future of Windy City-Set ‘One Chicago’ Franchise

Fans of NBC’s “One Chicago” franchise have reason to celebrate. NBC has renewed all three shows in the franchise — Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. for the 2025-2026 broadcast season.

The network made the announcement in a press release on Monday, May 5, saying collectively the Windy City’s first responders continue to bring in tens of millions of viewers.

The franchise airs on Wednesday nights and together the three shows reached nearly 46 million total viewers this season across NBC and Peacock, the network said.

Chicago Med is currently in its 10th season and airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The series stars S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Steven Weber, Marlyne Barrett, Jessy Schram, Luke Mitchell, Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet.

Executive producers include Dick Wolf, Allen MacDonald, Stephen Hootstein and Peter Jankowski.

Chicago Fire is in its 13th season and airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The drama stars Taylor Kinney, Dermot Mulroney, David Eigenberg, Miranda Rae Mayo, Joe Miñoso, Christian Stolte, Daniel Kyri, Hanako Greensmith, Jake Lockett and Jocelyn Hudon.

The series is executive produced by Dick Wolf, Andrea Newman, Reza Tabrizi, Matt Whitney and Peter Jankowski.

Chicago P.D. is in its 12th season and airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The series stars Jason Beghe, Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton, Benjamin Levy Aguilar and Toya Turner.

Executive producers include Dick Wolf, Gwen Sigan, Chad Saxton, Gavin Harris, Jason Beghe, and Peter Jankowski.

All three shows are produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
