Season 3 of drug trade drama Narcos: Mexico will be the last, Netflix announced Monday. With the news came details the 10-episode final season will premiere on Nov. 5.
In the newly released trailer, war breaks out in the 1990s following the arrest of drug lord Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo. The situation appears dire and a voiceover says the fighting “would change Mexico and drug trafficking forever.” The narrator notes “war spreads like fire” as explosions go off and gun battles erupt.
Diego Luna, who played Gallardo on seasons 1 and 2, has previously said in interviews he would not be back for the third season. Returning series regulars include Scoot McNairy, Jose Maria Yazpik, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Hermosillo, Matt Letscher, Manuel Masalva, Alejandro Edda and Gorka Lasaosa.

Here’s the official description for season 3 of the Narcos spinoff: “As newly independent cartels struggle to survive political upheaval and escalating violence, a new generation of Mexican kingpins emerge. But in this war, truth is the first casualty – and every arrest, murder and take-down only pushes real victory further away.”
The new season will introduce three new series regulars, including Luis Gerardo Méndez (Charlie’s Angels) as Victor Tapia, a Juarez cop with a moral dilemma; Alberto Guerra (Crime Diaries: The Candidate) as Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, an independent drug trafficker who’s quietly one step ahead of everyone else; and Luisa Rubino (Simply Maria) as Andrea Nuñez, a young idealistic and ambitious journalist, whose mission to expose corruption brings her an even bigger story than she expected.
Rapper Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will guest star as Arturo “Kitty” Paez, a member of Ramon Arellano Felix’s “Narco Juniors” gang. The Juniors are comprised of rich, well-connected kids from upper society who embraced cartel life for the money, drugs and violence.
“Prepare for the final blow,” reads the tagline on the trailer. Narcos: Mexico premieres on Friday, Nov. 5.
