Actress  and comedian Tanyaradzwa “Tanya” Fear has been found safe in Los Angeles after family and friends reported her missing.

The British star’s relatives were notified Monday after LAPD officers managed to locate her, police said. No additional information was available on where she had been.

Fear, 31, failed to return to her apartment near the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday night, prompting loved ones to ask for the public’s help in locating her. They notified police and began using the hashtag #FindTanyaFear on social media to bring attention to her case.

According to the Twitter account @FindTanyaFear (which in its bio says the account is run by family), the Doctor Who actress is currently recovering at a local hospital. A tweet posted to the account Monday read, “Tanya has been found!! We are extremely grateful to every single member of the public who helped in finding her. We couldn’t have done it without you.”

A statement accompanying the tweet added, “It is with great pleasure and relief to report that Tanya has been found safe by police today. We understand she is not physically harmed but as a precaution, is being assessed at a local hospital.”

The LAPD told television station ABC7 a missing-persons report was filed on Sept. 9.

Fear had been living in the Los Angeles area for two months prior to going missing, her manager Alex Cole said.

The actress appeared as Dr. Jade McIntyre in an episode of Doctor Who in 2018, and also had roles in the films A Moving Image, Kick-Ass 2 and Spotless.

In July, she shared on social media that she was launching a standup comedy career. On Aug. 24, she posted a flyer on Instagram announcing she was scheduled to perform at the Ha Ha Comedy Club in North Hollywood.
